You're a genuinely really charismatic and knowledgeable teacher in these videos! They're well produced, informative and entertaining - could not ask for more from drumming content tbh.
This is definitely the approach to education that I look for. “This is what I learned/think about (subject), here’s how and what thought while learning it” is so much more valuable in my opinion. It also doesn’t require any consideration of skill level because it allows for comparison of thinking. Even for Taylor (RIP) or Grohl there’s a potential for the interpretation of their performance to be a path to refinement by considering what gets left out or what pops out to others.
I’m a guitarist/bassist exploring drums for enrichment/fun but I feel like this video gives me concrete ways to improve my drumming but also better ways to interpret drums and ways of thinking that can be applied to my technique on my primary instruments.
This song is part of my warm up. I just played it earlier today.
